Job Functions: What you’ll be doing

Has responsibility for the entire center, by performing the following duties, either personally or by delegating through subordinates:

Management:

  • Recruits hires, trains, evaluates and terminates all staff.
  • Maintains an open-door policy.
  • The ability to display a high degree of judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Documents team member performance reviews and progressive discipline.
  • Ensures proper completion of all employee paperwork required by Corporate Office.
  • Ensures that all functions exceed guests’ expectations.
  • Continuously improves operational execution through attention to detail and adherence to the Center’s Operating Standards.
  • Develop and maintain open play business through promotions and events.
  • Develops and maintains league business through effective relationships with league bowlers/officers, adherence to league formats, distribution of announcements of league activities, and the management of other related administrative duties.
  • Ensures that all team member grievances are investigated using the correct procedure and taking the appropriate action.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Greet every guest with a smile, eye contact, and enthusiasm. *Ideally within 10 ft.
  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding overall “mystery shopper” center’s experience.
  • Ensures prompt and efficient service at all times.
  • Ensures that the team members maintain a high level of personal presentation, adhering to dress code policy, and offering a professional, courteous and friendly service.
  • Attends to guest complaints promptly with professionalism, empathy, providing
  • feedback and initiating corrective action where required.
  • Monitors overall guest satisfaction through social media (twitter, facebook, etc), emails, letters and phone calls.

Financial

  • Ensures that deposits are made in a timely manner.
  • Generates and submits Daily Sales Reports to Corporate Office.
  • Takes responsibility for all daily cash deposits.
  • Submits all required payroll records.
  • Meets or exceeds financial goals
  • Responsible and accountable for the financial performance of the facility – P&L.
  • Responsible for meeting & exceeding budgetary and agreed performance targets.

Operations

  • Is knowledgeable of operations in each functional area.
  • Safeguards quality of operations (internal & external audits).
  • Is accountable for responsibilities of department heads in their absence.
  • Oversees the correct use of Company’s corporate identity.

Safety

  • Ensures that all Team Members comply with health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Implements and documents required safety programs.

Job Requirements: What you’ll bring

  • Education and/or Experience - Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or 3 years related experience in a restaurant or entertainment venue; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Sales - Must be able to demonstrate a history of sales improvement and cost containment.
  • Computer Skills - Working knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Office Professional, and Publisher.
  • Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests, and the public.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as vendor, discounts, sales commissions, payroll, percentages, and restaurant/snack bar cost of goods. 
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
